Dryer Repair FAQ

Why is my dryer running but not heating?

On electric dryers, a failed heating element, thermal fuse or thermostat is the usual cause. On gas dryers, it’s often the igniter or gas valve coils. Our technician will test the parts and replace only what’s needed.

Why does my dryer take so long to dry clothes?

A clogged lint screen or dryer vent is the most common cause. Restricted airflow makes the dryer work harder and can cause parts to overheat. Clean the lint screen after every load and make sure the outside vent flap opens freely.

Do you repair gas dryers?

Yes. We repair both electric and gas dryers on all major brands. If you ever smell gas, don’t turn on any lights or appliances. Leave your home and call your gas company or 911 from outside.

What’s that squeaking or thumping noise?

Squeaks and thumps usually come from worn drum rollers, an idler pulley or a drum belt. These are common, affordable repairs.
